Employee Wellness

"Most people chase success at work, thinking it will make them happy. The truth is that happiness at work will make you successful.”

- Alexander Kjerulf

The relationship we have with our jobs and career paths is an important one. In order to maintain our professional competencies we attend trainings and conferences, but how do we learn to stay engaged in our work?

It is important to evaluate our connections with colleagues, managers, clients, and other stakeholders in order for us to grow and move forward in our careers. But what does this mean and how can we do this to the best of our ability?

The following are examples of the different types of programs and interventions to strengthen teams and promote a healthy work / life balance:

  • Group and individual consultations

  • Lunch and learns

  • Meditation breaks

  • Team building

These services aimed at addressing employee wellness, reducing work related stress, increasing productivity, and enhancing employee retention. To meet the unique needs of your business, corporation, foundation, or non-profit agency, all employee wellness services are customizable and can be delivered in flexible formats.

Mediation and Conflict Resolution

Conflict and unresolved issues can lead to toxic stress and as a result, productivity will undoubtedly be impacted.

Mediation and conflict resolution services are offered to organizations that are looking to actively work through challenging situations. These could include but is not limited to:

  • Employee or employer misconduct

  • Harassment and discrimination issues

  • Organizational restructuring

Policy and Procedure

Specialized audits of policy and procedure can be requested in order to assess how well todays diversity and social justice concerns are addressed in your documents.

Agencies receive a comprehensive written report with recommendations based on research evidence and human rights legislation. This may also be followed up with an implementation plan and further consultation.

Sometimes tragedy strikes and the work environment is thrown into turmoil.

Particularly within the social service sector, employees are exposed to challenging and often traumatic situations. Without taking time to debrief, the effects of burnout and compassion fatigue can begin to settle in.

Debriefing services are offered to agencies and individuals who have experienced or witnessed critical incidents within the work environment.

Ethical dilemmas present themselves in many different ways and it can be challenging to address them, given the multitude of considerations that need to be taken into account.

Consultations with regard to ethical decision making are offered in order to gain perspective, weigh options, consider outcomes, plan implementation, and mitigate risk.
